About the trainer:
J. Phoenix Smith, MSW certified Ecotherapist, Public Health Leader
Phoenix is the founder of The Alliance for Ecotherapy & Social Justice (asej.com) and has over 20 years of experience in public health and serving communities of color impacted by trauma. She currently serves as the director of the office of HIV services for Alameda County. She been a certified Ecotherapist since 2011 and has designed and developed Ecotherapy trainings for social workers, youth workers, and others since then. Her work has been featured in national publications such as the Atlantic magazine and recently in the magazine Esperanza: coping with anxiety and depression
